Set aside the mainstream flavor and taste the beauty of indie music! Fairwell Fair Weather, an indie soul-fusion band from University of Santo Tomas, is Jack Daniel’s “The Chosen One” in April 2014. Started as a happy avenue for the band’s guitarist and vocalist Mic Manalo, it was formed on the 20th of January, year 2012. Before nailing the award, several independent productions have already invited them to become part of various indie music events. Their inspirations include Toe, Esperanza Spalding, Norah Jones and Incognito. Thanks to their diverse influences, these young musicians have come up with soul/experimental compositions which we can now enjoy.
Fairwell Fair Weather is composed of 4 members: Mic Manalo on Vocals and Guitars, Gani Palabyab on Keyboards, Kim Hue Jin on Lead Guitars and Ethan Muriel on Bass. KboxStudios and Cerebro Bar were graced and lucky to witness their live performance in August 2016. We hope to host them again in the near future!
